Rainstick

The rainstick is a traditional South American instrument. This example is recreated in mature bamboo. Small sticks are inserted into the sound chamber in a spiral. The fine beads filling the chamber fall through these sticks creating a cascade of sound like a pleasant rain shower. The outer surface of the bamboo is also decorated with carving and traditional paint designs. This rainstick can be enjoyed by everyone and are very popular with children.
