It's always hard trying to think of a name for a new band. It's also difficult thinking of a name that hasn't already been taken. I recently tried this myself, and thought there must be some band name generators on the internet which I could use. I found some, but they didn't create very cool names. It seems like whoever wrote them just used a big list of words, without much thought about how they would sound as a band name.
Luckily I have recently learnt some programming and set about writing a band name generator of my own. Currently the words are split into 3 genres, Rock, Metal and Electro. If you select All, the program uses all the words in the list.
I find the 2 and 3 word band names work best, but the 4 word names occasionaly throw up something interesting. I find within about 10 clicks of 'Generate', I get a band name that sound pretty good.
