The Hurio is a versatile instrument constructed from sustainable mahogany. The hand turned body creates a ridged guiro surface that is played with the attached scraper. In addition the hurio body is a hollow chamber that is filled with fine beads creating a shaker that can be played in conjunction with the guiro.
